About This Is Me Dorset
We are a small, friendly, volunteer-run group of LGBTQI+ people and allies living in Dorset. We started with a kitchen-table chat about how isolating it can feel to be queer outside the big cities — and grew into a community that meets.
We assist and promote LGBTQI+ people in Dorset and the surrounding area: offering support, sharing information, celebrating our stories and working with local services so that everyone can live openly and safely.
Our mission
Celebrate: we make LGBTQI+ lives visible in Dorset through Pride, events and storytelling.
Support: we offer peer groups, one-to-one listening and signposting to local and national services.
Educate: we work with schools, employers and health providers to make Dorset a safer, kinder place for everyone.
